Andrea is a qualified Yoga Therapist & Teacher, pre + postnatal specialist in both yoga & pilates. She is a passionate yoga practitioner, strong advocate for empowered women’s health and a mama of 3. Andrea started her own yoga journey almost 20 years ago, and after experiencing first hand the benefits of a yoga practice during her journey to motherhood, she is now passionate about sharing the tools of yoga for pregnancy, birth & beyond.
Andrea has over 10 years experience in teaching pre & postnatal yoga, working with women with a range of needs and conditions. In addition to her speciality in women’s health, she also has experience in treating men & women of all ages in injury rehabilitation and treatment of various physical and mental conditions and disorders.
Andrea’s philosophy is simple - to provide an educated, holistic approach to one’s wellness, empowering them to feel confident on their path to improved health & wellbeing.

Yoga therapy focuses on a holistic & integrative approach to your wellbeing, empowering you as an individual to manage your own path to healing and improved health & wellness. It can be used to treat existing mental and physical issues, but also as a self-care strategy for prevention and maintenance. Using the tools and practices of Yoga, Pilates and Ayurveda, we work together to create a program for long term health.
Yoga Therapy sessions are conducted one-on-one in a clinical setting, involving assessment of your condition or goals, physical capabilities and lifestyle. Through collaborative work we will progress towards creating a program to help you achieve long term improved health, giving you the confidence & tools to be in the drivers seat as you work towards your desired goal.

How is Yoga Therapy different than a regular or private yoga class?
Yoga therapy practice can resemble physical therapy, rehabilitative therapy and/or psychotherapy. Unlike a standard yoga class, yoga therapy sessions are typically conducted one-on-one and can provide an adjunct therapy to complement other forms of treatment, or it can be used to directly treat a specific issue. Part of the yoga therapy process is to help the individual feel in control of their progress to encourage long term health & wellness.
The practice of yoga therapy takes into account your individual experiences, situation, emotional attachment, history and ever changing circumstances. There is no “one method fits all” approach. Yoga Therapy treats the person, not the symptoms.

Yoga Therapy for Pregnancy & Motherhood
The journey through pregnancy, childbirth and into motherhood is not without it’s challenges, both on a physical, mental and emotional level. As a trained Yoga Therapist and specialist in Pre & Postnatal yoga, I can work with you during your pregnancy journey, in preparation for childbirth, the early postpartum period and through the various stages of motherhood.
Every mother’s journey is different, as is her healing. Even if your circumstances were identical to that of another, your experience, reaction and effects may be vastly different. For this reason yoga therapy engages a holistic approach, treating you as the individual, the whole person, rather than symptoms or expectations.
Yoga therapy sessions offer you the opportunity to create a program designed to suit your individual needs, with the flexibility to adapt as your needs change. The tools of yoga can be used to support and give you confidence as you approach childbirth, to help ease the physical, mental & emotional challenges you may face as a new mum and give you strategies to assist long term.
